Ward Tower Senior Center
Ward Tower Senior Center, in Miami, Florida, is a collective effort of Miami-Dade County Public Housing department and Independent Living Systems (ILS) to encourage and assist seniors with personal growth, maintenance of their independence, and overall well-being. Ward Tower services more than 1,000 community members in partnership with Independent Living Community Services (ILCS), providing an array of home and community-based services to help seniors maintain independence as they age.

Facilities
Ward Tower offers a number of amenities to Center members to support emotional and physical quality of life, including a fitness area, game room, library, adult learning classroom, and barber and beauty shops.
Social Services
To encourage seniors to manage their health and provide the support they need to age in place, Ward Tower offers case management and social work support, assessment tools to identify member lifestyle needs, and services to promote overall wellness.
Fitness
Ward Tower participates in the Silver Sneakers program and offers fitness classes four days a week, as well as giving seniors regular access to cardiovascular exercise equipment.
Classes & Events
Keeping the mind and body active and engaged are keys to healthy living. Ward Tower offers courses in computer literacy, nutrition education, language education, as well as the opportunity to participate in events.
Food Services
Proper nutrition is vital to healthy aging. Ward Tower and ILCS provides daily nutritionally-balanced hot meals to members at the center, as well as home-delivered meals to homebound seniors in the community.
